There seems something really weird about the GPS tracking. We’ve resetted it this morning, started it up and everything seemed well. Last check i did we seemed to be driving somewhere in Germany. Below are the pictures for today, i hope they make sence (if not, i’ll remove them and put on a homemade google map of our trip).

Somehow, the GPS tuner software didn’t reset and tracked our trip today. What it did was register our trip starts :

Kansas City might be the most boring city i have ever been to. The city has some high building but not that many that the view of the skyline takes your breath away. As we told you before, yesterday is was pretty cold also, so we decided to go shopping.

Because our beautiful hotel is close to some nice shopping streets, we walked over there. After 3 minutes we were frozen and decided to go back to the hotel. This was not how shopping is supposed to be.

The parking guy of our hotel told us that there was a big shopping mall, 20 minutes away by car. And we happen to have a car!!

So, we went to the Oak Park Mall. It is a very big mall with a Macy’s, a Dilliard and a JC Penny’s. These very big stores are conglomerated by 30 little (fast food-)shops. And I must say, this mall made my stay in Kansas City worth every second. Eelco is not so in to fashion and shopping. Not that he has no taste, his interests are with a lot of things but not so much with shopping.

I love clothes and fashion, as long as i can find nice stuff. My favourite brand is Ralph Lauren. I practically wear it all the time. In the Netherlands i pay about € 120,– ($183,–) for one nice shirt. Yesterday i have bought 3 RL-shirts, 2 RL-sweater, 1 RL-Jeans, a pear of Adidas sneakers and a red scarf for only $ 350,–. That’s nothing! I would say, i am a thief of my own wallet, if i did not buy so much clothes.

And if you want to know, Eelco also bought one shirt from some American brand, which i don’t know. After a couple of hours we returned to the hotel. At the parkinglot of the mall we saw this car again. It’s such a strange car, and it’s pretty hot here, because everybody drives this “Scion”. Most of them has 20″ rims and strange colors. This one we liked mostly because of the color and the license plate

When we came back from the Mall we went to our favourite restaurant Kona Grill again to eat lots of Sushi! Because it is so deliciuos, we could eat it everyday!

Now we packing to go to Springfield (MO). Tonight will be the best night of our holiday, i think, because we are about to see (and hopefully meet) Jeff Dunham.

As you all know, the day before yesterday we survived a snowstorm in the mountains of Aspen. Luckely we survived it, all because we where doing 20 miles an hour.

Today we have our planned day off, here in Kansas City. We were hoping to have some sunshine so we could go shopping here. But unfortunatly the weather of Aspen has reached Kansas City… So, now it is snowing again… That’s pretty crap!

Tomorrow we will go to Sprinfield (mi) to see the great ventriliquist Jeff Dunham. Because the weather here (-2, feels like -8, snowshowers) is not much different from Spingfield (-4, feels like -4, cloudy) and also because we don’t have working wipers on the car it wont help us to go to Springfield today. So, we will stay in Kansas City today and drive up to Springfield in the morning. Tomorrow it will be +5 and partly sunny, so that would be nice.

Today we will be stuck in our hotelroom (which lukely is a very big suite at the Sheraton Hotel) and will go shopping at the mall.Later on we will show you some purchased goods. Well, if we will buy something and will not be frozen to death before that in our thin clothes. We both only brought clothes for good, warm and sunny weather

Hi All. We’ve reatched Kansas, it was a long long longggg ride. But, we’re here now and everything is ok. We’ve been pulled over again (we maybe have the whole thing on video). Since Kansas is quite boring we didn’t make any pictures or interesting video. We will fix the video tomorrow (the connection is extremely bad here) but here are the route statistics!
